Port Chaplaincy and support for seafarers passing through Southampton is provided by the Apostleship of the Sea. The dedicated team provides assistance, ship visits, transport, and a welcome within the parish.

The Mission to Seafarers

Reverend Andrew Huckett has joined the Chaplaincy Team in Southampton following a long spell as the Mission to Seafarers Chaplain in the Medway/Thames. Andrew is a long serving chaplain of the Society. He is also Chaplain to the Church on the High Seas.

Rev Roger Stone


Apostleship of the Sea



Reverend Roger Stone is the AOS Port Chaplain in Southampton and various other ports along the south coast of England from Weymouth/Portland in the west to Newhaven in the east and including the Channel Islands.
Before joining AOS in June 2010, Roger was a civil servant for 22 years working for various government departments. After he was ordained in 2005, Roger ministered to the parish of Billingshurst with Pulborough for four years.
